This is not the same as an Edge-o-Matic. This product is designed for people who want to learn about, or already have a knowledge of electronics and electronic theory. This is a Do It Yourself kit that you will have to solder together.

This is an Arduino shield. It is designed to connect directly to an Arduino Uno and add specific functionality. Continue reading to learn more about this specific kit!

  • Input Pressure Range: 0 - 100kPa (Gauge)
  • Output Voltage Range: ~0.1 - 4.9V
  • Pins Used:
    • A0: Pressure Reading
    • A1: Record Button (Active Low)
    • D7: Log Mark Switch (Active Low)
    • D2, D3, D5, D6: LED Matrix IO

Maus-Tec DIY kits and tinker modules are the perfect start to a new project, or addition to a current project. Each module is available as a parts kit or fully assembled and ready to go.

The Pressure Logger Shield uses the versatile MPXV5100 pressure sensor module to interface with your Arduino Uno compatible development board. The pressure sensor is attached to a variable gain amplifier, allowing for finer tuned readings in the lower pressure ranges.

For convenience, this shield has a “Record” button and indicator, which can be used to start and stop recording if you have an SD card shield. There is also a connection for a “Mark” switch, which can be used to quickly and easily mark your logs for event tracing.

This shield also features a charlieplexed bar graph display for visualizing the current pressure reading, eliminating guesswork and the need for an external monitor or PC.

This pressure shield is available as a kit. You will need an Arduino Uno compatible development platform, as well as an SD shield of you plan to store the data. You can also stream the data over USB to store on your PC.
