1980uino - DIY Uno Compatible Kit

Maus-Tec DIY kits and tinker modules are the perfect start to a new project, or addition to a current project. Each module is available as a parts kit or fully assembled and ready to go.

The 1980uino (Nineteen Eigh-Duino) combines the MAX232 Line Driver IC with the ATMega328P Microcontroller found on the Uno-style device to create an Uno clone compatible with an 80’s aesthetic.

If you’ve ever wanted to build your own Uno, this kit is for you! This kit uses only through-hole components for easier soldering and a retro look, keeping the component count down and helping you understand exactly what goes into an Uno!

Since there’s no USB port, programming requires an RS-232 serial port or equivalent adapter. For convenience, ICSP headers are exposed, allowing you to program this board with an AVR ISP programmer (or another Uno).

The ATMega328P comes pre-flashed with an Uno-compatible serial bootloader.
